Free site check

Check your website for broken links and errors, free

Enter the address of your own website. We fetch your homepage and then up to 25 pages on the same domain. What we find appears right here on screen. No email address needed.

Only check a website that is yours or that you work for.

What we check

  • Broken links: internal links that return an error code (4xx or 5xx)
  • The security certificate: whether a secure connection (https) works
  • Whether http addresses redirect to https
  • Visible error messages, such as PHP errors or a message saying the page does not exist, on a page that should work
  • Forms whose submit address does not work

Good to know

  • We only make ordinary page requests, like a visitor. We never submit a form.
  • We do not store the result and we do not send any email.
  • We look at up to 25 public pages. So this is a quick check, not a complete audit.

What the check does not do

  • We do not check external links to other websites, only links within your own domain.
  • We do not assess speed, search visibility, spelling or content.
  • We do not look for security vulnerabilities and we never log in anywhere.
  • We cannot read your certificate’s expiry date. We only see whether a secure connection works.
  • We do not submit forms. We only check whether the submit address can be reached.

Frequently asked questions about the site check

How can I check my website for broken links and errors?

Enter the address of your own website above and start the check. We fetch your homepage and then up to 25 pages on the same domain. You see right away which links return an error code, whether https works, whether http redirects to https, whether pages show visible error messages and whether form submit addresses can be reached.

Is the site check really free?

Yes. You do not need an account or an email address, and the result appears right on screen.

What is a broken link?

A link that points to a page returning an error code, for example 404 (not found) or 500 (server error). Visitors then land on an error page instead of the information they were looking for.

Do you store the result or my data?

We do not store the result and we do not send any email. To prevent abuse we use a security check from Cloudflare (Turnstile) and briefly count how often the check is started from the same IP address.

Can I check any website?

Only check a website that is yours or that you work for. The check only makes ordinary page requests, like a visitor, and never submits forms.

Why is a page listed under “access denied”?

Some websites block automated requests. We cannot assess such a page. Open it yourself in your browser to see whether it works.

Is this a complete audit of my website?

No. It is a quick check of up to 25 public pages for a few common errors. See above for what the check does not do.
